Parade of Russian and Ukrainian fleets to be held in Sevastopol

Today in the evening a general rehearsal of a parade with participation of Russian and Ukrainian military men is to be held in Sevastopol.

Marines, seamen of fleets of both countries and cadets of the Sevastopol naval institute are to take part in the parade. As expected, the total number of parade participants will make up some 1,500 Russian and Ukrainian military men. Commander of the RF Black Sea Fleet Admiral Vladimir Komoyedov and commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian naval forces Admiral Mikhail Yezhel will run the whole show.

As traditional, WWII veterans, soldiers that participated in international wars and citizens will follow military men in the parade.

Ceremonial actions dedicated to liberation of Sevastopol by Soviet troops in 1944 started already today. Theatrical performance of the 1944 events in the city is to be staged for the population.
