Another payment to repay IMF debt

The Russian Ministry of Finance has paid 24,637,000 US dollars to repay the debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Finance Ministry reported this. The previous payment was made on April, 24 and amounted to 21,071,000 US dollars and 11,989,000,000 Japanese yens. The total sum of payment was 113 million US dollars. As of January, 1, 2002, the Russian debt to the IMF was estimated at 7.5 billion US dollars. Since last January Russia has paid the Fund about 480 million US dollars. As a whole Russia is intending to pay the IMF 1.5 billion US dollars this year.
