Vladimir Putin Signs Law On Protection Of Ethnic Minorities Of Russia

President Vladimir Putin of Russia signed the law "On Territories Traditionally Used by Ethnic Minorities of the North, Siberia and Far East of the Russian Federation." The law was passed by the State Duma of Russia in April 2001. The law stipulates legal frameworks for the protection and use of territories inhabited by these peoples and is bound to protect their traditional way of life.
