Safaris to be organized for U.S. congressmen in Altai

The Republic of Altai, a mountainous administrative district, located in southern Siberia, is noted for its picturesque landscapes. On Mayday holidays, this place was visited by Herman Prichner, an influential American politician, one of the organizers of the “Open World” programme. During his visit, Mr. Prichner familiarized himself with a number of tourist sites, a dear-raising farm, held talks with the republic’s cabinet members. He told his hosts that he was ready to take up organization of hunting tours in the Mountain Altai for US congressmen, the 1st group arriving as early as in August this year. Besides, Mr. Prichner called for the American investments in the region to increase, especially as concerns small and medium-size companies engaged in tourism and farming. Also, the question of building a motor road to China passing through the republic’s territory was touched upon.
