A terrorist act has been prevented on a railroad in Vladikavkaz, capital of North Ossetia - a Russia constituent republic neighbouring on Chechnya. On Thursday Russian State Traffic Police officers found a suspicious-looking plastic bag some 200 metres away from a railway crossing. The bag contained an anti-tank grenade TG-45 and a 200-gram TNT charge. Combat engineers from a special police unit who had arrived at the site defused the dangerous find. Experts believe that the terrorists were going to plant the explosive device under the rails.
