More than 200 skinheads gathered for a meeting at Suvorovskaya Square in Moscow today. The meeting has been sanctioned by Moscow authorities. The skinheads demanded to release the depute editor-in-chief of right-wing magazine “Russky Khozyain”(“Russian master”) Andrei Semiletnikov, who had been detained by law-enforcement agencies after a massacre, arranged by the skinheads at a market in the Moscow district Yasenevo, and protested against domination of Caucasus and Asian Mafia in Moscow. It will be noted that skinheads became very active in Moscow recently. A few years ago ultra-right party Russian National Unity was launched in Moscow. The authorities have not forbidden neo-fascist meetings. During the pre-election campaign Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov launched a struggle against the “threat of fascism”, and won “a brilliant victory”. However the real struggle has never been carried out. In will be recalled that not long ago a skinhead massacre occurred in the Moscow district Tushino. Police has not detained any participant of the meeting, though police cars took 20 skinheads away. They disappeared in the morning. Policemen explained to PRAVDA.Ru journalist that they just spoke to the young people and it was enough for them. The authorities can probably launch a struggle against skinheads again, when it is required. But they do not do it now.
