Inflation In Russia May Exceed Projected Level

Inflation in Russia may exceed the earlier predicted level, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Herman Gref said Friday. However, the minister would not reveal the prospective dimensions of April's inflation, explaining it by the fact that they are still unclear. Gref said that the government spared no effort to curb inflation in 2001. The situation will be analysed in detail and specific measures will be taken to deal with all aspects of inflation, he emphasised.
