“Moveable feast”

In Russia May always begins with holidays. People in Russia are used to celebrating the Day of Spring and Labour, May 1 and the Victory Day, May 9. But this year one more feast arose: the anniversary of Putin’s inauguration. Thereupon a festival is scheduled for May, 7: a demonstration will pass through the central streets of Moscow and will end up in a great meeting in Vasilievsy spusk, near the Red Square. The main motto of the festival is “Anniversary of Putin’s inauguration is a main landmark in the life of the nation!” Young people’s movement Walking Together, famous for its unconditional support of the President’s policy, is an organiser of the festival. It is rumoured that Walking Together is a more pro-Kremlin movement than Unity. Moscow administration has already gave a permission for the action. Presumably 10 thousand people will take part in it.
