On April 26th, 2001, Italian schoolchildren will meet in the city of Nizhni Novgorod, situated on the Volga river, with Gennadi Balandin, the city administration’s deputy head in charge of entrepreneurship and international relations. Then, the schoolchildren will stay for a fortnight at Nizhni Novgorod families under the “Class for Class” international exchange programme, according to the Nizhegorodski Business newspaper. In Nizhni Novgorod, the school No. 91, the Personality Development Centre, is their partner. For October this year, a reciprocal visit to Italy by the school No. 91’s students is scheduled. During their stay, the Italian schoolchildren will attend classes at school No. 91, familiarize themselves with the local countryside, go paddling and riding horses, see caves, get acquainted with the work of local craftsmen, visit the GAZ automobile plant museum.
