Chelyabinsk hackers detained by FBI. Americans fear fresh attacks by “Russian programmers”

2 Russian hackers have been detained in the US the other day, the site of the «Microsoft network» company (MSNBC) reports. The detainees, Alexei Ivanov, 20, and Vasili Gorshkov, 25, are accused of numerous e-crimes. Their case is to be considered in a Seattle court. The young men are suspected of stealing credit card numbers in e-stores, using breaches in Windows NТ. This includes the renowned theft of 15,000 credit card numbers from the Western Union Bank in September last year. Besides, the detainees may have made breaches in banks’ and firms’ protection systems and then offered their costly services in fixing them, according to A-News. FBI spotted Messrs. Ivanov and Gorshkov in June last year – they were caught red-handed. Court hearing in connection with the case are to start May 17th. Discussing the above detention of the Russian hackers at the forum of the MSNBC site, some Americans express serious fears that this could serve as an impulse towards a cyberwar and caution against a possible tide of fresh hacker attacks by “evil Russian programmers.”
