Central Bank Chief Describes As "Positive Decision" Agreement To Restructure The Soviet Debt

Chairman of the Central Bank Viktor Gerashchenko has described as a "positive decision" the agreement to restructure commercial debt of the former Soviet Union. He said that as commenting on the agreement Russia has reached with creditors recently. About 60 percent of the debt of the former USSR will be actually written off following its restructurization, according to the agreement.
