The largest pearl found in Mianma

The world’s largest pearl weighing 845 carats (169g) have been found in Mianma (formerly Burma), in South-East Asia. It is nearly 400 carats heavier than the “Hope” pearl found as early as in 1800 and which has been held the largest for over 2 centuries. According to AFP, the pearl was found by chance in the sea off Mianma’s south-eastern coast last Wednesday. It has reportedly been declared state property.
