Russian Premier: Russia will find the means to carry on space exploration

Mikhail Kasyanov assured that Russia will find the necessary means to continue space exploration. "The country which has launched into space the first manned spacecraft, will find the means to continue the exploration of space for the good of the country and the entire world community," said the Prime Minister. He was opening a meeting in Moscow to mark the 40th anniversary of the world's first flight into space by Yuri Gagarin. The RIA Novosti correspondent reports that Kasyanov stressed that the government realizes the importance of the further development of cosmonautics and is making every effort for its state support. The Prime Minister recalled that the program of the development of cosmonautics up to the year 2005 had already been endorsed, and that the government will do its best to ensure its priority financing.
