State Duma depute: Putin’s message corresponds the situation in Siberia and Khakasia

A depute chairman of the State Duma Committee for Security, a depute from Khakasia, Georgy Maitakov comments on the President’s address exclusively for PRAVDA.Ru. Khakasia is a RF republic. "In your opinion, does the President’s message correspond the situation in Khakasia and Siberia?" “It has already been reported by mass media that Vladimir Putin was completing his message in Khakasia. Therefore, I suppose that the message reflects all the processes which go on in the republic and in Siberia”.

“In his message Vladimir Putin speaks about the local authorities’ pressure upon businessmen. According to the President, officials, putting pressure upon businessmen, restrain the “economic activity of business undertaking”. Does it really happen in Khakasia? “I cannot say anything about the pressure upon business. The largest Siberian company, Siberian Aluminium, became a federal structure now. Besides, businessmen have learned to work with authorities, and the authorities have learned to work with businessmen. Representatives of power structures get into administrations of big companies. Therefore, there is an opportunity to influence upon the policy of the company while settling important questions. And vice versa, representatives of big companies try to get into power structures. Therefore there is co-operation of power structures and big companies."
