Bulgaria accuses Russia of interference in its internal affairs

PRAVDA.Ru has already reported that Bulgaria has send off three Russian diplomats, suspected of spying. In respond to this action Russia did the same to Bulgarian journalists. The reaction of the Bulgarian side was immediate and rather harsh. Press secretary of Bulgarian Foreign Ministry Radko Vlaikov accused Russia of “interference in the internal affairs of the sovereign state”. Vlaikov called the RF Internal Ministry’s decision an attempt to teach Bulgaria “what its real interests are”. But we are not to start a discussion about Bulgaria’s national interests. We will just note that in the course of his visit to Bulgaria FBI director Louis J. Freeh said that he maintained Bulgarian Prime Minister and applauded to his decision to send out Russian diplomats. To all appearances, upholders of “real national interests” has “real friends” over the ocean.
