Additional security measures were taken at the Vnukovo airport on Tuesday given the threat of a liner departing for Asia being hijacked. Information about the possible seizure of an airliner departing from Vnukovo to an Asian country was received by the Flight Security Service on Tuesday. The police and the Flight Security Service have tightened control over passengers in the departure areas. Increased security squads are patrolling waiting rooms and the territory adjacent to the airport. Moscow policemen and workers of the Federal Security Service are guarding the airport's vital facilities and are involved in search operations. Just a few days have passed since Russian airliner was hijacked to Saudi Arabia. And now a threat of hijacking arose again. What is it: a tendency or just somebody’s bad joke? We would remind to you that stewardess Ylia Fomina, the victim of the terrorists, was buried just yesterday.
