Danger of beer alcoholism is imminent in Russia

Russian chief expert in narcology Vladimir Yegorov does not think total bans on alcohol are efficient in the fight against alcoholism. He told journalists that it would be more efficient to observe the existing bans, just as for example the ban on selling beer to people under 18. Vladimir Yegorov is taking part in a three-day European conference of the World Health Organisation at a ministerial level, Youngsters and Alcohol, running in Stockholm, RIA Novosti reports. The chief expert announced that beer consumption by young people and the development of beer alcoholism among the population had come to pose a great problem in Russia.
