Since the day of Kursk submarine wreck the Federal Service of Russia for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of Environment has not detected any exceeding of normal radiation level in the area of Kursk wreck and in the Kola Peninsula either. “The radiation level in the region is normal – from 5 up to 15-20 microroentgen per hour”, Interfax news agency cites the chief of the department of radiation pollution of Russian Hydremeteorological Service Vladimir Soloviev as saying.
