Rudolf Scharping, Germany’s defence ministry, has told Bundestag deputies of multiple incidents involving ammunition containing depleted uranium which occurred in 1981-1990 in US troops stationed in Germany. Further information is to be made public after scrutinizing the documents, part of which to be yet obtained from the US, a defence ministry spokesman is quoted by Associated Press as saying. The question is now how much time is to pass before the US at last tells its “younger brothers” all the truth.
