At their meeting, Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yohei Kono and Vice Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko discussed the situation with the coming deorbiting of the Russian space station Mir. A spokesman for the Japanese government told journalists about it at a briefing in Moscow. According to him, this theme was raised, because the trajectory of the Mir station's flight in the course of its deorbiting will be above the territory of Japan. Tokyo asks Moscow to inform it about this deorbiting operation in time, RIA Novosti reports. Victor Khristenko replied that Moscow will consider this matter.
