Chechen Criminal police chief detained in Airport

Rakhman Betsayev, criminal police chief of the Chechen city of Gudermes, was detained yesterday at the Sheremetyevo-1 airport during a routine security check of passengers boarding a plane bound for Nizhnevartovsk (Tyumen Region). Officers at the airport’s militia precinct told Interfax that Mr. Betsayev, being on holiday, was having two fully loaded pistols along which he intended to carry into the cabin.
