Milosevic will probably stand trial. But only in Yugoslavia

Yugoslavian minister of Foreign Affairs Goran Sdilanovic, visiting Washington now, said that his country can allow to carry out international trial against ex-president Slobodan Milosevic in connection with military crimes. The only condition of Yugoslavia is: the trial should be conducted in the territory of Yugoslavia. This is the first proposal of such kind, made by Yugoslavia. We would remind to you that Voislav Costunica said earlier that he would not extradite Slobodan Milosevic to Hague tribunal. The details of the new proposal of Yugoslavia will be discussed in a few days, during General Prosecutor of the tribunal Karla del Ponte’s visit to Belgrade.
