Putin introduces a political parties bill before the Duma

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has introduced before the State Duma the federal draft law “Of Political Parties,” the Duma’s press service has said. According to RIA Novosti, the bill admits political pluralism in Russia implying a multiparty system. Proceeding from that, the state shall guarantee the rights and lawful interests of the political parties and shall assist them in their activities, the press service added.
