Daghestani hijacker found Insane

A panel of psychiatrists has declared Akhmed Amirkhanov from Makhachkala, not responsible for his actions by reason of insanity. On November 11st he hijacked a Vnukovo Airlines Tu-154 aircraft flying from Makhachkala to Moscow forcing it to fly to Israel. The Dagestani prosecutor's office announced on Thursday that he had been diagnosed as having schizophrenia. The materials of this case are now prepared to be submitted to court. The prosecution is set to advise the court to place Mr. Amirkhanov under compulsory psychiatric care, Interfax reports.
