Crimean premier Sergei Kunitsyn has received Russia’s consul general Alexei Sviridov at his request. The premier, in particular, has offered the consul assistance in solving a number of problems related to legal aspects of Russian nationals’ sojourn on the territory of the peninsula and also to the placement of the mission. Mr. Kunitsyn would also like to use more of the Russian consulate’s potential in establishing direct economic ties with Russia’s individual territories. Besides, the role of the Moscow-Crimea Foundation has been mentioned for supporting Russian nationals in the Crimea. “Backing of our compatriots abroad is a priority of Russian foreign policy,” emphasized Mr. Sviridov, according to our correspondent Aleksandr Gorobets.
