Islamic Movement addresses Putin with a letter

Federation Council Speaker Yegor Stroyev told reporters today that representatives of the Islamic Movement, based in Pakistan, had given him a letter to be forwarded to Russian President Vladimir Putin. "They ask Vladimir Putin to consider their proposals on how to reduce the tension dealing with Islam. They are tired of war and do not support the Chechen rebels," Stroyev said.
