Plunder at a space centre

Military prosecutors brought a few actions, concerning economic crimes, against a few senior officers in Arkhangelsk region at “Mirny” space vehicle launching site. Colonel Prudovoy is arrested and is kept in custody. He is accused of fraud, misappropriation and embezzlement of state property and abuse of power, “Interfax” reports. Colonel Vengerenko charged with the same accusations is dismissed. Lieutenant Colonel Andreyev is accused of forgery, the source in Public Prosecutor’s office reports.
