A special airliner has arrived from US to take the pardoned Edmond Pope back home, says Aleksandr Zdanovich who heads the promotional programmes unit at the Federal Security Service. In his words, Mr. Pope left the Lefortovo prison in Moscow at 10 a.m. Accompanied by US embassy officials and his wife, he then headed for the Sheremetyevo airport, RIA Novosti reports. After fuelling and a “minimal rehabilitation period” needed for the crew, the liner with Mr. Pope on board will fly to the USA, Mr. Zdanovich added.
