SEVEN MORE KILLED IN CHECHNYA

Two militiamen were killed and two more were wounded yesterday when their jeep hit a mine. Five more died and six were wounded after rebels fired on federal forces’ positions. Besides, 30 various-type bombs were found and diffused yesterday. In all, 24 shootouts took place yesterday. The rebels have livened up of late, the federal forces’ command says. They carry out bolder attacks on federal forces installations, perpetrate terrorist acts, keep on firing on check-points, armoured vehicles, mine roads and other sites.
