The Ministry of Foreign Affairs makes public the losses in Chechnya

From the beginning of the second period of the anti-terrorist operation in Chechnya 1050 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died performing their duty. There are 354 militiamen and 696 service-men of the internal forces of the RF Internal Ministry among them, Viacheslav Bricheyev, a spokesman for the Internal Ministry said today. Meanwhile 40 militiamen are leaving for Grozny at the present moment to replace others, who are coming back because the time of their mission is over.
