A bill on Russian seaports will be presented to the government of the Russian Federation in the first quarter of 2001, head of the Transport Ministry division for coordination of activities of seaports of Russia Chingiz Izmailov reported to RBC. The bill stipulates a concept of a port, the interaction of seaports with other means of transport and a lot of other issues. According to Izmailov, the bill has already been approved by eleven departments out of 19 ones, and November 29 the bill will be presented to the Collegium of the Transport Ministry. Then, the bill will be further elaborated and introduced to the government.
