HEPATITIS IN MOSCOW PEDAGOGICAL COLLEGE.DRUG ADDICTION OR DOCTORS’ NEGLIGENCE?

Because of a hepatitis epidemic, classes have been suspended in the Moscow Pedagogical University, formerly the Lenin MGPI. On Thursday, two students were admitted to hospital diagnosed as having an A-type viral hepatitis. Quarantine has been introduced at the college. It is believed that 200 more students may have contracted it. The colleges will presumably be closed until December 28th. If nobody falls ill by then, the classes will resume, radio Ekho Moskvy reports. But let’s speculate a bit. Hepatitis can be of three types, one of which being somehow linked to drug taking. And what is the Pedagogical College, or just Ped? It is mostly girls and young women. The question is why joundice breaks out exactly there. That the girls may smoke marijuana is no secret.
