RUSSIAN NATIONALISTS THINK THEY HAVE TO BACK GERMAN’S

A small group of the Pamyat (Memory) society members held yesterday an authorized rally outside the German embassy in Moscow. This time, they were angered by a likely decision of German MPs to ban German’s National-Democratic Party known for its near-Nazy stance. The protestors displayed the posters “Schroeder! Hands off NDP!,” “Patriots of the entire world, unite, God with you,” “Long live the world right-wing front!” After the rally, the protesters handed over to the embassy’s officials a message. The message, in particular, states that “if our claims are not heard by German’s incumbent authorities and NDP is not left alone, Pamyat will leave it to its discretion to move on to resolute actions in Russia and Germany.” So, the yesterday’s gathering shows that Russian extreme-right nationalists lack historical memory. Awaiting further handouts from Germany, they are ready to demonstrate their “solidarity” with the historical grandchildren of those who once tried to wreck Russia.
