BARAK INSISTS THERE SHOULD BE NO INTERNATIONAL ADVISORS

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak called on the Palestinians yesterday to hold direct talks without participation of foreign powers. Speaking on the national radio, he said that Tel-Aviv wants talks which would be “direct, free, without any preconditions, without international interference and which would allow to reach a just peace.” “We are not going to dominate other peoples or suppress their national aspirations. Israel does not want to occupy other peoples nor control territories it has occupied, AFR quotes Mr. Barak as saying.
