Russia Calls On the US To stop Bombing Iraq territory

Russia is again calling on the US to cease bombing the territory of Iraq. According to information department of the Foreign Ministry, these actions cannot be justified either from a moral point of view or from a legal one. Moreover they seriously aggravate the settlement of the Iraqi problem, thus impeding the solution of some other crucial situations in the region, RBC reports. This statement followed the information about new bombing raids made by air forces of Great Britain and the US on the territory of Iraq. The bombing raids were made on October 29, 2000, their targets being civil facilities. Two civilians were killed and one more wounded as a result of one of the raids. The question is about grave violations of international law, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
