PROCURATORS’S OFFICE PROLONGS IMPRISONMENT OF TIKHONOV’S BROTHER

Novosibirsk Region’s procurator’s office has declined a request filed by lawyers of Viktor Tikhonov, renowned athlete Alexander Tikhonov’s brother, and extended keeping him in custody by other two months, an official at the regional procurator’s office has said. Viktor Tikhonov was arrested in early August and charged with taking part in a plot against Kemerovo Region’s governor Aman Tuleyev. Alexander Tikhonov at present is being treated in a local hospital for high blood pressure.
