Russian Aluminium Joins UN's Agreement on Common Values and Principles

The Russian Aluminium company has decided to join the 'Global Agreement on Common Values and Principles' initiated by UN's Secretary General. The agreement calls on the business leaders of the UN member countries to accept, support and follow the basic principles concerning human rights, labour relations and environmental protection. According to Russian Aluminium's press service, Alexander Livshits, a Deputy General Director of the company responsible for its international activities, believes that 'the extension of the corporate responsibility of the companies that join the agreement becomes increasingly important for the stability of economy and allows those companies contributing to the search of joint ways to resolve the problems of globalisation'. Besides, joining this agreement clears the way for establishing by Russian Aluminium of direct connections and forming the relations of partnership with the programmes, foundations and special organisations of the UN.
