Moscow Ready To Develop Broad Mutually Beneficial Cooperation With Romania

Moscow is ready to develop broad mutually beneficial cooperation with Romania in all spheres - political, economic and cultural, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said opening negotiations with his Romanian counterpart, incumbent OSCE chairman Mircea Geoana Monday. Moscow "is satisfied with the recent intensification of the Russian-Romanian relations," Ivanov noted. According to the minister, Russia is interested in constructive, mutually beneficial relations. "There are many problems we should and we can tackle together, particularly, the European security and bilateral cooperation in all the spheres," Ivanov said. The Russian Foreign Minister recalled Mircea Geoana was visiting Russia as the OSCE chairman and pointed out Moscow's preparations for the council of OSCE foreign ministers to be held in Bucharest early December. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov is expected to receive the Romanian Foreign Minister in the afternoon.
