Russia: Inflation Level In First Two Weeks Of October Amounted To 0.5 %

In the first two weeks of October, the inflation in the country amounted to 0.5 percent; in the second week it was at the mark of 0.2 percent, reported the Government Information Department. The situation in the monetary-financial sphere of the country was discussed on Monday morning at a traditional conference between Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and his Vice Premiers and key ministers. It was pointed out that an average day rise in the prices in October this year was approximately fifty percent lower than in October 2000.
