George W. Bush: Russia And The U.S. Have Made Positive Progress In Their Effort To Achieve Mutual Understanding

According to US President George W. Bush, Russia and the United States have made "positive progress" in their effort to achieve mutual understanding. "The US army is engaged in a military operation. Vladimir Putin has expressed solidarity with this military aspect and promised certain support," stressed Bush at a press conference that followed his talks with the Russian president. Bush also thanked Putin for Russia's support of the US-led fight against terrorism. "This support was constant and solid," he emphasised. "Our task is to expand the anti-terrorist coalition," went on the US leader. According to him, Russia shares its intelligence information with the US and permits it to use its air corridors. "There is much we can do together to defeat terrorism," pointed out Bush, who believes such interaction helps the two countries develop their bilateral relations.
