Hernan Etchaleco: Possible Case of Anthrax in Argentina

National Health authorities announced yesterday night a 98 per cent certain case of anthrax registered in Buenos Aires. Apparently, a person denounced reception of a suspicious envelope from abroad, which in now under examination by biological specialists.

First results of test reveal the presence of anthrax, unless no information regarding infection of any person was yet confirmed. Final conclusions of the studies will be released today once examination of the letter has finished.

Local health authorities have instructed population in all the country how to act in case of anthrax evidence and asked community to contact them in case of any suspect.
