Tax Collection Improves In Russia The tax revenues of the consolidated budget amounted to RUR1.381 trillion (about $46.7bn) for the first nine months of 2001, which is 34.8 per cent more that in the similar period of the previous year, Tax Minister Gennadiy Bukayev announced at a press conference today. The federal budget received RUR670bn (about $22.7bn) in tax collections, which is RUR31bn (about $1.05bn) more than the target assignment. The minister drew special attention to the fact that the rate of tax collection from individuals had reached 50 per cent against the previous year. According to him, various enterprises cleared their tax debt for the amount of RUR30bn (about $1.02bn) from January to September of 2001.
