All Mail Sent To Russian Federal Executive Institutions Undergoes Special Check Procedures

All mail sent to federal executive institutions of Russia, including ministries and the Kremlin, undergo a thorough check by special services, Communications Minister Leonid Reyman reported in an interview with journalists today. According to him, this is done to avoid anthrax-contaminated letters be received by Russian authorities. Additional measures are taken to check all mail. In particular, special equipment will be purchased to discover "dangerous parcels." Reyman was also quoted as saying that all mail received from abroad undergoes several stages of control. Transit and international post offices are involved in this process. "Thanks God, no incident like in the USA occurred in our country," the minister stressed.
