TV And Radio Broadcasting Interrupted In Primorye Region

The Dalenergo energy company switched off electricity in the Primorye regional radio and television center (KRTPTs) today. As a result, broadcasting of All-Russian television channels ORT, RTR NTV as well as Mayak and Radio Rossii radio stations was interrupted. In addition, special signaling systems installed on high-rise buildings to ensure the security of aircraft during night hours and fog were switched off. This was done due to the indebtedness of television and radio companies of the Primorye region for electrical supplies. Dalenergo took this measure regardless of an earlier agreement reached between the All-Russian state television and radio broadcasting company (VGTRK) and RAO Unified Energy Systems of Russia to resolve all problems with local energy suppliers and pay off the indebtedness.
