Vladimir Putin Visits Residential Arears In Lensk

On Thursday Russian President Vladimir Putin who is making a one-day working trip to Yakutia visited the ALROSA residential area in the town of Lensk restored by the Diamonds of Russia company. The President visited several houses and examined the flats of new settlers. One of the families invited the head of state to tea. The host-family consisted of a mother, a father and two children. Despite the visit of the high guests, one of the children, a one-year-old baby, kept on sleeping. Then the Russian President headed for the Severny residential area where he examined blocks of flats and a sports and recreation centre. In the Severny area the President visited the Maltsevs family. As the hostess said later, the family had sent a letter to Vladimir Putin though they were not sure the letter would reach its addressee. The head of state replied that since he was their guest now, he had received the later. At the sports and recreation centre Vladimir Putin talked to children who, in particular, practise gymnastics, box, wrestling, play ping-pong, football and basketball. Putin arrived in Lensk by helicopter from the village of Novaya Murya situated 15 kilometres from the town, where the Russian President examined the local school, talked to its pupils and visited a newly built block of flats.
