Albanian Militants Prevent The Comeback Of Macedonian Refugees

Last night, Albanian militants from the officially disbanded National Liberation Army launched wild firing from time to time in various settlements near the town of Tetovo. The Macedonian security forces didn't retaliate, in keeping with the terms of the truce. Skopje associates these provocations with the forthcoming trip of a group of Macedonian refugees, who want to examine their homes, to that district. Experts of the government's headquarters for averting the crisis, representatives of the European Union and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) are also assessing the damage inflicted by terrorists on the populated centres which were controlled by Albanian militants. Building materials for house repairs are being brought to some villages, to which several hundred Macedonians have already returned. At the same time, according to reports coming from the Macedonian capital, the massive organised refugees' comeback hasn't yet started. Representatives of the international community advise not to hasten this process until all conditions for this are created and the parliament endorses all amendments to the Constitution granting broader rights to Albanians.
