Bush gives “one more chance” to Talibs

The US are ready to stop bombing Afghanistan. This was declared by George Bush at the first since the operation started press-conference. “We are ready to give one more chance to Talibs”, the president announced, “if today they give over masterminds of the terrorist acts in the US, including bin Laden and his people”. The bombardments will be stopped if the Taleban changes its position, Bush said. Therefore, a new diplomatic confrontation starts, instead of military confrontation. PRAVDA.Ru has many times noticed that not so many targets remained on Afghan territory. Though starting a ground operation could bring many human losses for the US. The White House also seems to understand this idea. As a rule, one more chance is never given after a war has started. Nevertheless, the US administration goes on it, while showing its “generosity”. Practically for the second time, George Bush presented ultimatum to Afghan Talibs which was rejected for the first time. As events of recent weeks show, after presenting an ultimatum, one could hesitate for some time. And finally the most important fact: the US are ready to leave Talibs alone. Only a small good will gesture is being expected from Talibs.
