A meeting of the CIS Electricity and Energy Council will be held in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, today. Its participants will discuss the current situation, problems and organization of CIS energy partnership. Delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine will take part in the meeting. In addition, representatives from various energy companies will arrive in Kiev. The meeting will be held until October 13. As reported, the previous meeting of the CIS Electricity and Energy Council was held in Belarus on June 8, 2001.
