Slavneft Raises Oil Production 21.8% In January-September 2001

The Slavneft oil company produced about 11.038 million tons of oil over the first nine months of 2001, which is 1.978 million tons more than planned and 21.8 per cent more as compared to the corresponding period last year. The Slavneft's public relations department reported that an average-weighted daily volume of oil production went up 7.367 tons. The volume of gas production made up 998.1 million cubic meters. This is 177.3 million more than planned and 88.9 per cent more than in the first nine months of 2000. In addition, Slavneft started the development of 238 new oil wells.
