Ukraine Accepts Russian Terms To Reschedule Gas Import Arrears

Prime Ministers Mikhail Kasyanov of Russia and Anatoli Kinakh of Ukraine met at the negotiation table in Kiev and signed an understanding to reschedule long-overdue Ukrainian payments on Russian gas imports. Consolidated as of June 1, 2000, the debt is rescheduled for twelve years, payments to start three years later, Mikhail Kasyanov said to RIA Novosti.
